Upskilling Initiative

Under this partnership, Microsoft and IndiaAI have committed to upskilling 500,000 individuals by 2026, targeting students, educators, developers, government officials, and women entrepreneurs. This ambitious initiative is designed to democratize access to AI education and empower communities across India, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

AI Catalysts: Center of Excellence

The establishment of “AI Catalysts,” a Center of Excellence, is central to this collaboration. It will promote rural AI innovation in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, engaging 100,000 AI innovators and developers through hackathons, community building, and an AI marketplace. Additionally, AI Productivity Labs will be set up in 20 National Skill Training Institutes across 10 states to train educators and empower students with foundational AI knowledge.

AI-Enabled Solutions and Startups Support

A key aspect of this partnership is the development of AI-enabled solutions for critical sectors, leveraging Microsoft Research’s expertise. The Founders Hub program will extend benefits such as Azure credits and mentorship to 1,000 AI startups, fostering innovation and growth in India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem.
