What’s new?

AI mode will run several related searches in the background and a separate tab from the main search landing pages. It will enable users to ask complex questions and receive AI-generated content and images as well as follow-up options and relevant web links to the sources. The experience will be like interacting with a chatbot with real-time web access, improving user search results for coding, math, or other advanced topics.

AI-Powered Search:

Google’s core quality and ranking system will be powered by AI mode, improving the accuracy of AI-powered search results. This new interface will offer “more advanced reasoning, thinking, and multimodal capabilities and will be an extension to the existing AI overviews.

AI Integration in Search:

This revolutionary step into the future of search will encourage other companies to integrate AI within their search engines. It has to be clarified that these Google Search enhancements aren’t perfect, and the results can produce errors or provide misleading information, a phenomenon known as “hallucination” in AI. Google acknowledged that responses can adopt a persona or may seem opinionated.

It is also important to mention that when the data is not genuine and is low in quality, the search response will be a generic set of web search results.

Future of Search:

The Google Search AI model will dominate the tech ecosystem while paving the path for others to follow suit. The future of search engines will be driven by AI and NLP. They will become personalized and conversational, providing accurate and relevant information. The search systems will become hybrid, combining traditional and AI-generated responses with real-time updates.
