Empowering Women Through AI: Kaduna’s Ambitious Tech Initiative

- Assist participants in securing jobs, including opportunities to work internationally from home
During a recent stakeholders’ engagement on the draft National Digital Economy and e-Governance Bill, Governor Sani emphasized the importance of making technology accessible to all, particularly in underserved communities. He stated, “Mainstreaming technology is one of our government’s key agendas,” reiterating that education and training in AI will play a critical role in achieving this goal.
One of the standout features of Kaduna’s AI initiative is the launch of AI4All, an educational program designed to introduce AI concepts to Hausa speakers. This unique approach includes:

In addition to training women in AI, the Kaduna government has partnered with Greysoft Technologies to encourage young innovators to develop tech-based solutions for agriculture. This initiative, known as the AgricTech Hackathon, aims to foster creativity and innovation within the agricultural sector, ultimately promoting food security and sustainability.
The governor expressed optimism about the draft National Digital Economy and e-Governance Bill, which he believes will create a comprehensive framework for the regulation and development of Nigeria’s digital economy.
